Jokinen may be trying to take a run at the Bill Muckalt record. He was acquired by the Senators in the trade that got them Zdeno Chara and Jason Spezza from the Islanders for Alexei Yashin.
Muckalt proceeded to play 71 games that season with zero goals. I would not think that could be possible for a forward that played regular minutes.

Puck luck comes from hard work, something that was lacking tonight. I don't think either team played well tonight. There was too much coasting from what I saw. In other news though, Olli Olli Olli!!!!!! |

2nd overall pick that was used to draft Spezza was in the trade. Didn't think that was worth the extra typing for the point I was making - which was about Muckalt's stats. |

I bet the Preds wished they could've had a couple of those good breaks from the Leafs game. They had those to spare: (Forsberg "deflection" or the Josi lob shot over the shoulder) that they didn't need to beat the Leafs anyway.
The second period killed them, and it seems when they have a strong first period, they let down a little in the second, then fire back in the 3rd. It's happened a few times this year. |

Puck luck comes from hard work, something that was lacking tonight. I don't think either team played well tonight. There was too much coasting from what I saw. In other news though, Olli Olli Olli!!!!!!

The Preds had so many chances in the 3rd...they completely outplayed the Sens in that period. It was good to see them really pushing for it though. Hopefully they can finish a bit better next time.
As far as Olli, I couldn't care less if the guy doesn't score as long as the Preds are winning. |
